Long Lake Park is the door to a paradise of camping & outdoor experience… Long Lake, which is only one of at least 87 Long Lakes in Minnesota, is located in Clearwater County only 5 miles west of Itasca State Park on Highway 200 making it the closest campground to Itasca State Park which is located on a lake. In addition to available camping, other outdoor adventure opportunities can be found here.
A friendly, easy-going atmosphere is what you will enjoy while visiting Long Lake Park & Campground. Cheerful, helpful attendants will assist you in the camp store or share fishing tidbits with you over morning coffee. Long Lake Park has much to offer, whether you visit for a day, an evening or a week — 2 playgrounds, 3 volleyball courts, game room, sandy swimming beach, fishing pier, hiking trail are just a few of the things you’ll find. There is a 10 mph boat speed limit on the lake, which keeps it quiet and safe for fishermen and makes a perfect place to watch a beautiful evening sunset while rowing among the calling loons.
